Oracle is the most widely used Relational Database
Management System in the world and many companies
rely entirely on Oracle products for their data
services. Immanance has been an Oracle training
for over many years and has substantial expertise
in delivering high value, cost effective solutions
both in the bespoke arena and for Enterprise Applications
such as Oracle Financials and the Human Resource
Management System (HRMS). As an Oracle accredited
E-Business Partner, Immanance specialises in the
implementation of Oracle applications and Oracle
Technology based solutions. Having invested in
an Oracle based system it is equally important
to invest in the people who will run it.

Oracle Database
10g DBA
Overview
Oracle Database
10g provides the facilities to install, configure and
manage a database through the Enterprise Manager, a
web enabled GUI front end for administrators. This course
teaches the very basic administration functions via
this menu system. It is intended for personnel who need
to occasionally support the DBA. It is not intended
to teach delegates all the skills necessary to become
a full time DBA.
Who will the
course benefit?
Database Administrators
of small sized databases who need to carry out basic
system administration tasks on Oracle Database 10g.
The course is also suitable for support staff and personnel
who are required to carry out occasional administration
or troubleshooting tasks. This course is not aimed at
delegates who are full time Database Administrators.
Full time Database Administrators should attend the
Oracle Database 10g DBA - Part I and Oracle Database
10g DBA - Part II courses
Course Objectives
This course aims
to give delegates practical experience in installing
Oracle Database 10g software, configuring the database,
performing basic monitoring of the database and in carrying
out basic administration tasks. The focus is on using
Enterprise Manager to teach delegates how to carry out
basic management of the database.
